Team executive shoots down the rumor Greedy Williams Jersey , but actual schedule release should only be days away." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesDawgs EDTThe Cleveland Browns are and up-and-coming team with an attractive schedule for the 2019 season, making them an ideal selection for a number of primetime games. Per NFL rules, teams can only be scheduled for five primetime games, but a maximum of three teams can be flexed into a sixth appearance on Sunday Night Football. With a schedule that includes division games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens, along with the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks, it seems likely the Browns will be featured at least three to four times in primetime. But which games will be moved from the traditional 1 p.m. kickoff is still unknown, although a schedule posing as legitimate was leaked on Twitter Friday afternoon:That schedule features the Browns in primetime games Week 1 on Monday night at the New York Jets, Week 2 on Sunday night at home to the Ravens, Week 8 on Sunday night at the Patriots, Week 10 on Monday night at home to the Steelers, and Thanksgiving night at the Arizona Cardinals. So the Browns would be scheduled for the maximum of five primetime games, which seems a bit overly optimistic. Another tip off that this schedule may not be legit is the idea that the NFL would have the Cardinals host a game on Thanksgiving night. Sure enough, late Friday night word came down from Peter John-Baptiste https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Howard-Wilson-Jersey , the Browns senior vice president of communications, that the schedule is indeed fake:That really should not come as a surprise as the NFL keeps these type of things on lockdown. Last year, the league announced the schedule April 19, which was a Thursday night the week before the NFL Draft. There is no reason to believe they will do anything differently this year, so expect to finally discover just when the Browns are in primetime come next Thursday. CLEVELAND (AP) — Michael Crabtree sat dejectedly in front of his locker and knew exactly who to blame for Baltimore’s loss.He pointed the finger at himself.“Put that on me,” the Ravens receiver said.Crabtree let a possible game-winning touchdown pass from Joe Flacco slip through his hands in the fourth quarter Sunday as the Ravens, who looked so impressive last week in a win over Pittsburgh, were beaten 12-9 in overtime on Sunday by the resurgent Cleveland Browns.Crabtree’s drop wasn’t the only issue for the Ravens (3-2), who couldn’t get anything going on offense and then had their defense fail them in the closing minutes of OT.But for all their problems, the Ravens might have pulled out another AFC North win if Crabtree had squeezed Flacco’s throw with a minute left. With the Ravens down 9-6 and facing a third-and-10 at Cleveland’s 14-yard line, Flacco fired his pass over the middle toward a leaping Crabtree in the back of the end zone. Crabtree got both hands on the ball, but it bounced off him and instead of taking the lead, the Ravens settled for Justin Tucker’s 32-yard field goal with 56 seconds remaining. It wasn’t an easy catch, but it’s one Crabtree has made countless times. He had two other drops earlier in the game.“You gotta finish https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Bernie-Kosar-Jersey ,” said Crabtree, who signed with Baltimore in the offseason after three years in Oakland. “I’ve been there and done that, and this go-around I can’t even jump. I gotta get back in the lab and work on my concentration. That’s all it is. It’s football. You gotta see the ball and catch the ball.“If I have to catch 2,000 balls a week in practice, I’m going to have to do that.”It was one of those days for the Ravens, who failed to take advantage of good field position in the first half, and allowed Browns rookie Denzel Ward to come off the edge and block Tucker’s field-goal try on the final play of the first half.Flacco completed 29 of 56 passes for 298 yards and threw a costly interception in the first half when the Ravens were driving for another score. On second-and-goal at Cleveland’s 2, Flacco’s pass intended for tight end Nick Boyle was deflected by defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah and picked off by Ward.It was just Flacco’s third pick this season, but it felt ominous on a day when neither offense could get into a rhythm.“I was just trying to put it at his feet,” Flacco explained. “It was just one of those unfortunate ones. I was just trying to get the ball out of my hands and go to the next down, to be honest with you.”As poorly as they played, the Ravens may have gotten a bad break in overtime. On Baltimore’s first possession in OT, running back Alex Collins ran for 17 yards but receiver Chris Moore was called for an illegal block, moving the ball back and out of range for Tucker Derrick Kindred Jersey , the most accurate kicker in league history, to try a long field goal.“The guy came down, got cut back on and Chris never really touched him,” Flacco said. “He just tried to avoid him, as far as I’m concerned. That’s just one of many plays that we probably could have made in order to get the game turned our way.”The Ravens lost for just the third time in 22 games to the Browns, who improved to 2-0-1 at home and 1-0-1 in the division.Baltimore’s defense did its part — the Ravens still haven’t given up a second-half touchdown — but couldn’t stop rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield in overtime. The Browns were backed up near their end zone, but Baltimore let Mayfield scramble for 13 yards and then gave up a 39-yard pass play to rookie Derrick Willies, who got open over the middle.“We have to execute regardless of what the situation may be,” safety Tony Jefferson said. “We have to execute the call, and we didn’t in that particular situation. We didn’t finish. We’ve been trying. We’ve been doing a good job at that, so far this season. Today we fell short of doing that, but we have a good opportunity coming up against Tennessee.“We have a week to get back in the lab and try and fix those things so that they don’t re-occur in particular situations like today.”

After selecting Texas A&M defensive tackle Kingsley Keke in round five and Toledo cornerback Ka’Dar Hollman with the first sixth-round pick, the Packers have gone back to the offense.Using the 194th overall pick, the Packers have selected running back Dexter Williams out of Notre Dame.Williams, a 5-foot-11, 211-pound back, recorded just under 1 Green Bay Packers Customized Jerseys ,000 rushing yards as a senior with 12 touchdowns on the ground plus 16 receptions for 133 yards and another score. He tested out fairly well in Indianapolis for the NFL Combine, with a 4.57-second 40-yard dash and a 7-second 3-cone drill. He also added excellent explosion numbers with a 36-inch vertical and a 10-foot-10 broad jump. This looks like a great value pick, as Williams was projected by many sources to come off the board much earlier on day three of the draft. He will join a Packers running back room that currently features Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams as the top options. However, with new head coach Matt LaFleur expecting to feature the running game more in 2019, the Packers now have another player to rotate in with those more established backs.Green Bay is scheduled to make its final pick of the 2019 NFL Draft in round seven at #226 overall. However, the Packers did not choose any players in the 2019 Supplemental Draft. Only one player was selected, as the Arizona Cardinals used a fifth-round pick on Washington State safety Jalen Thompson. The Cardinals had the fourth-highest priority in the draft order, while the Packers were tenth; as a result, there is a possibility that Gutekunst may have put in a fifth-round bid for Thompson but were thwarted by Arizona. The Cardinals’ selection of Thompson means that they will forfeit their fifth-round draft pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Over the past few days, steam was building around the Packers potentially selecting Thompson. They reportedly spent significant time with him on Monday during his Pro Day workout https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/hats , then brought him to Green Bay for interviews and medical examinations on Tuesday. However, he is now on his way to Arizona, where he will join the Cardinals for training camp.Thompson was the only player selected on Wednesday, so all other eligible players will now become free agents and are free to sign with any team.

The ACC witnessed an explosion of offense this week in college football Womens Adolphus Washington Jersey , so it seemed only fitting that any recap should feature players involved in those inter-conference games, but the real offensive MVP, who rushed for over 200 yards, hails from the PAC-12. Not to be forgotten, the defenders this week are all middle-round prospects looking to make a rise up the board this season. More about each 2019 draft prospect below. RB Zack Moss (Utah)The Utes were determined to pound the rock against UCLA and Moss was their battering ram, so much so that he ended the day with 211 yards on 26 runs. As always Youth Harrison Phillips Jerseys , the 215-pound junior proved difficult to bring down, but he also managed to show off some long speed on one particular 60-yard scamper which is important for his evaluation. Also important was the fact that he caught two passes for 14 yards and held up in pass protection.C Garrett Bradbury (NC State)Syracuse and NC State had an old-fashioned shootout, thanks to some great protection provided by the offensive line for both teams. For the Wolfpack, that protection was provided by Bradbury. The center was extremely light on his feet, which led to a couple nice runs, but allowed him to shine in his pass sets. His movement skills helped on run fakes Harrison Phillips Jerseys Stitched , allowing him to pretend like he was run blocking, and then immediately shifting to a pass protection set.WR Sean Riley (Syracuse)The diminutive slot receiver for the Orange didn’t just go toe-to-toe with the NC State defensive backs, with his 164 yards he also managed to keep up with the Wolfpack’s Kelvin Harmon who had a monster day on the other side of the field. Defensively, NC State had no answer for Riley as he was too quick for linebackers and safeties and too polished a route-runner for slot corners. Several of his catches came on third downs, keeping drives alive and eventually leading to an upset. ER Ben Banogu (TCU)TCU usually chose to only rush three players on third downs against Kansas, but the senior still managed to get to the quarterback twice for sacks. Where Banogu really stood out though was in holding the edge in run defense White Doug Flutie Jerseys , finishing the day with 4.5 tackles for loss. If Banogu can continue to stack productive weeks like this, he could go from being considered late rounder to more of a mid-round consideration.LB Ryan Connelly (Wisconsin)The day began well for Connelly and the Wisconsin defense as a whole against Northwestern. Connelly made an very athletic play to tip a pass which ended up as an interception for the Badgers. Unfortunately, Wisconsin’s offense was no help and the defense eventually collapsed as well. No one should blame Connelly though, who found himself chasing running backs all day while leading his team in tackles with fourteen.Your browser does not support HTML5 video.CB Bryce Hall (Virginia)Hall can be labeled as a “draft riser” this year and that rise continued against UNC. The junior leads the nation in pass break ups, and had two against UNC, because he know how to position get his hands into the chest of the receiver and force an incompletion at the very last minute. The few times he does allow a catch Doug Flutie Jerseys 2019 , Hall uses his long arms to quickly wrap up and limit any yards after the catch. He also threw in a johnny-on-the-spot fumble recovery against the Tarheels. Your browser does not support HTML5 video. According to a report from NewYorkUpstate.com and Ryan Talbot, the Buffalo Bills have expressed interest in hiring offensive line coach Sean Kugler of the Denver Broncos. This potential move is reportedly being blocked by the Broncos, who are waiting to see if the team’s new head coach would like to retain any members of Vance Joseph’s staff.Bills fans may be familiar with Kugler’s name, as he worked on the staff in Buffalo from 2007-2009. During that time, Kugler was credited with helping the development of Jason Peters, the future Hall of Fame left tackle. When the Bills hired Chan Gailey White Jim Kelly Jerseys , he made the decision not to keep Kugler, who was then hired by the Pittsburgh Steelers. In an effort to connect the dots with Kugler, there is an obvious connection with Broncos center Matt Paradis, who is set to become a free agent in March. Fans are well aware that the Bills will address the offensive line in free agency, and Paradis could be a prime target for the Bills.

Sunday https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Terrance-Mitchell-Jersey , the Cleveland Browns are at home to take on the Cincinnati Bengals. To help preview a few topics from the Bengals’ perspective, we reached out to Patrick Judis from Cincy Jungle and exchanged five questions with him. Enjoy!Joe Mixon has remained a bright spot for the Bengals.David Kohl-USA TODAY SportsChris: “The Bengals were down 35-7 at one point to the Browns just a few weeks ago. Besides the “revenge factor,” is there anything the Bengals have been doing better the past couple of games to have taken the Chargers to the limit and then handled the Raiders last week?”Patrick: “The only thing the Bengals have really done better is actually slow other teams down and finally commit to Joe Mixon as their identity offensively. Mixon has gotten over 25 touches the past two weeks. He only had 20 or more touches three other times before the past two weeks. It is no coincidence that they’ve been a better team offensively when leaning on him.As far as defensively, it appears they’ve allowed the defensive backs to play more man to man coverage, and they actually will blitz every so often. Even just bringing on extra guy on a rush has such a huge impact. Getting off field on third downs has been a tall task for this defense all season, but they seem to be finally pulling it off.”Jeff Driskel — QBOTF?Aaron Doster-USA TODAY SportsChris: “The Browns got a little bit of a look at Jeff Driskel in the second half the last time these two teams met. How has Driskel’s play been the past couple of weeks? Is he giving the team a better chance to win than Andy Dalton was?”Patrick: “First off, he hasn’t given the Bengals a better chance than Dalton. This team would benefit greatly by having a healthy Dalton. That being said Driskel has had some bright spots, but last week was a struggle for him as he often saw his passes go high or under throw targets. He had major accuracy issues. The Bengals didn’t do him any favors by trotting out Alex Erickson and Cody Core with John Ross after Tyler Boyd went down due to injury. They have a big receiver in Auden Tate who could be a big target that is hard for Driskel to miss, but they just refused to use him.Overall Jarvis Landry Jersey , Driskel has been what most people expected. He is super athletic, but he isn’t a great passer which is magnified by not having weapons around him offensively.”“Me?”Jake Roth-USA TODAY SportsChris: “What is the latest rumor with the Bengals’ coaching situation for 2019? Please don’t (or rather, do) tell me that Hue Jackson is in line for the job?”Patrick: “I wouldn’t even hold my breathe that Marvin Lewis would lose his job if the team even loses their final two games. I fully believe that we have a better chance of seeing Lewis retire than actually getting fired. In the unlikely scenario he actually gets fired it won’t be shocking to hear guys like Hue Jackson, Vance Joseph and anyone else who is available from Lewis’ coaching tree be brought in.”Chris: “What position should the Bengals address with their first-round pick in 2019?”Patrick: “The Bengals should really take the best player available along the defensive line, linebacker or offensive tackle. A position they won’t address is quarterback although they should really consider it as they need a backup plan for Dalton.Linebacker has been a mess for years though. They need some athleticism at that position. The defensive line needs better depth even with Carl Lawson and Ryan Glasgow returning next season from injury. Offensive tackle and line really speaks for itself.”Chris: “Are you expecting Cincinnati to get their revenge in Cleveland? Let’s say you had to place a $1,000 bet on who would win.”Patrick: “My money would absolutely go on Cleveland. With Boyd being out on top of all the other offensive weapons the Bengals are lacking it should be a struggle to move the ball. I think it will be closer than the first matchup though. Division games are usually funny like that.”Thanks again to Patrick for taking the time to answer my questions. REGINA, Saskatchewan (AP) — Craig Dickenson joined younger brother Dave as a Canadian Football League head coach Friday, taking over the top spot with the Saskatchewan Roughriders. The 47-year-old Dickenson was promoted from special teams coordinator to replace Chris Jones, who resigned as head coach/GM/defensive coordinator and vice president of football operations Jan. 15 to join the NFL’s Cleveland Browns as an assistant.“This was the perfect job at the perfect time with the perfect people and I couldn’t feel any better about who I’m going to work with Genard Avery Color Rush Jersey ,” Dickenson said.Dave Dickenson is the coach of the Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders.“I think it’s cool,” Dave Dickenson said. “Listen, there’s only so many of these head jobs and to have both of us doing it, obviously our parents should be proud. It shows they did a good job of getting us to where we wanted to get to.”Craig Dickenson said he spoke to his brother about the Saskatchewan job.“He said, ‘Go for it, it’s a good job,'” Craig Dickenson said. “When I told my dad the news, he was more excited than I expected so I think it means a lot to him. It’s going to be fun. We’ve competed our whole lives. Dave is very happy that I get this opportunity and I’m thrilled to be able to coach in the same league as my brother.”The first-time head coach agreed to a three-year contract. He will remain special teams coordinatorDickenson spent 16 seasons as a CFL assistant with Saskatchewan, Calgary https://www.brownsfanshop.com/Austin-Corbett-Jersey , Montreal, Winnipeg and Edmonton, and also was a special teams coach with Oakland and San Diego in the NFL. From Great Falls, Montana, he was a kicker at the University of Montana. Dave Dickenson was a star quarterback at Montana and in the CFL.“I’m biased, but I think he’s more than qualified,” Dave Dickenson said. “I think special teams coaches do a great job as head coaches because they already talk to the whole team. … I think he might be as good a coach as I am, maybe better, but that doesn’t guarantee success. As a head coach Nick Chubb Jersey , you’re dependent on your players and staff and you have to be the leader. But I don’t think Craig is going to have any problems because he’s a great communicator, a great teacher. He’s really good at setting expectations for people to follow his lead.”The move was the team’s first since promoting Jeremy O’Day from assistant vice president of football operations and administration to GM and vice president of football operations.“I have nothing but respect for him and can’t wait to go to war for him,” Saskatchewan defensive lineman Jordan Reaves tweeted. The Roughriders were 12-6 in the regular season last year. The team made eight picks this year: two on day one Kentrell Brice Color Rush Jersey , two on day two, and four on day three. However, there is a common thread running through all of these selections: athleticism. Of these eight players, seven had values greater than 8 on the Relative Athletic Scoring system, which compares a player’s workout results from the Scouting Combine and Pro Day to all draft prospects at the same position going back to 1987. Even more impressive is that four of the picks finished with an RAS greater than 9, with the best results coming with the first and last picks of the draft. The Packers love great athletes; we’ve known this for years. But this is a second straight draft with only one player having a value below 8.From Rashan Gary being the first player weighing over 275 pounds to run faster than 4.60 seconds in the 40-yard dash to a pair of players running 4.36 to an explosive running back jumping 10-foot-10 in the broad jump, there are some truly amazing numbers here.2019 Draft Class ResultsRoundPickPlayerPositionCollegeHeightWeight40BenchVertBroad3-coneShuttleRASRoundPickPlayerPositionCollegeHeightWeight40BenchVertBroad3-coneShuttleRASA few notes here. Third-round pick Jace Sternberger ran an official 4.75-second time at the Combine, but Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said on Friday night that the Packers timed him at a faster 4.66 number. Meanwhile, fifth-rounder Kingsley Keke weighed in at 288 pounds in Indianapolis, but said Friday that he currently weighs 293. Finally, numbers shown in bold/italics were numbers from Pro Day workouts, as reported by Draftscout.com. Dread it, run from it, the offseason still arrives. And it did, officially, on Sunday. The final game of the 2018 season is over, and now the rest of the league has joined the Packers in the long dark of the offseason. This is almost certainly the most important offseason for the Packers in quite some time. With a new coach at the helm and a second-year GM ready to flex his cap space and extra draft picks, the Packers have to be well on their way to making their return to the playoffs https://www.thepackersfanshop.com/Geronimo-Allison-Jersey , right? Right??Maybe not. We have a few concerns about this offseason. Here they are.Paul Noonan: Too Many ConcernsIt’s easy to tell if your team is bad by how many things have to go right for them to actually be good. I see this a lot with baseball fans, who say things like “if x improves, and y and z stay healthy, and the pitching takes a step forward, and the rookies hit a bit, we’ve got a chance.” The fact is that at best, you will have an average number of things go right, and an average number go wrong, and so if you need more than an average number of things to go right, you are in trouble. While I’m not against change, the Packers have WAY more uncertainty than I care for this year. Start with Rodgers himself, who played very poorly last season, after mostly playing brilliantly with McCarthy. Maybe he improves with LaFleur. Maybe the young receivers develop? Maybe Graham bounces back? I’m sure Kyler Fackrell will repeat his double digit sack season. They just need Daniels and Clark to get healthy. And to hit on some linebackers in the draft. And some safeties. Maybe Bulaga hold up for an entire season. The Bears have to come back to earth, right? So in short, I’m worried about everything. Bob Fitch: the team’s reaction to Matt LaFleur’s presenceAs Paul mentioned, there are only a certain number of things that are known quantities with the Packers right now.Nobody knows that personnel moves will be made via free agency and the draft, and nobody knows if rostered players will improve, decline Oren Burks Jersey , or miss time to injury. The biggest, and most pressing known quantity, is that the team will be coached by Matt LaFleur. My concern is that this known quantity might not be able to hold his own in the locker room, and that if the team doesn’t perform well out of the gate, players might start to tune him out and play to the beat of their own drum.LaFleur could be the rejuvenating shot in the arm that Green Bay needs; he could also be an inexperienced voice that doesn’t garner the proper respect and authority that the head coaching position should.Shawn Wagner: Aaron Rodgers’ willingness to adjustMore or less, I agree with Paul that there are way too many concerns for my liking this offseason. Perhaps one concern that encompasses many of them is Rodgers.Rodgers and LaFleur may get along well and all of this is a moot point. But reports indicate that Mike McCarthy was trying to spruce up the playbook as the 2018 season went along and Rodgers would revert back to plays at the line that took five seconds or longer. Film review from the season, especially when analyzing Jimmy Graham’s fit, revealed an unwillingness to get the tight end involved even when he had a step on defenders. And while Green Bay’s receiving cast surely was an inexperienced one, there was not enough adjusting to the personnel overall, especially on third down.Add in the fact that Rodgers has dealt with several injuries over the past few seasons, along with a noticeable hesitation to release the ball, and there is a significant concern that the franchise quarterback will return to his once-godlike form. I’m willing to give him a pass for last season with his knee injury. But if he is still struggling with accuracy, footwork, and timing next season, it will be a sign of something bigger to overcome. Hopefully, LaFleur can point out these issues in a way Rodgers takes kindly to; LaFleur’s experience with Matt Ryan should help in this regard. But I’m holding my breath because the Packers go as Rodgers goes, no matter what improvements they make on defense.Jon Meerdink: Mid-level free agentsThis is an offseason flush with opportunity for the Packers. Given their cap space, draft picks Marquez Valdes-Scantling Jersey , and the number of players on the cusp of taking a big step forward, there’s a legitimate chance that a solid offseason could put the Packers back in contention sooner rather than later. But a big part of that equation comes down to adding outside talent through free agency. The Packers’ cap space, while pretty considerable, really doesn’t lend itself to a ton of marquee talent. That’s just as well, since the team could probably use quality players at several spots as opposed to one big name. That gets tricky, though. Nailing one free agent signing is hard enough. Brian Gutekunst tried several last year and it’s hard to offer more than mild praise for any one of them. I’m concerned that the Packers will have a hard time getting it right with this particular brand of talent infusion.Evan “Tex” Western: Safety and right guardPersonally, I’m pretty well sold on LaFleur and his offense at this point, and with Aaron Rodgers ready to participate fully in the offseason program (which starts two weeks earlier thanks to the new head coach) I believe in him getting acclimated quickly to a new offensive scheme. No, my biggest concerns are personnel-related, and they’re not even at the one position I feel to be the team’s biggest need (which is outside linebacker). I’m not worried about that spot, because I am confident in the Packers landing one of a few excellent rookie pass-rusher prospects with the 12th overall pick in the draft. Jachai Polite, Clelin Ferrell, or Montez Sweat would all work nicely there.Instead, it’s two other positions that keep me up at night. The Packers’ roster is suspiciously devoid of safety depth right now, and that’s not a position where a Mike Pettine-coached defense can afford to be weak. Tramon Williams should be able to fill in at free safety for one more year, but there’s no long-term option available; meanwhile, Josh Jones still strikes me as being better as a Deone Bucannon-esque moneybacker than a true strong safety. Are the Packers going to pony up big money for a free agent like Earl Thomas or Landon Collins? I’m not confident they’ll go there. Meanwhile, there’s nobody at the position in this year’s draft class who is worthy of a top-15 pick Jimmy Graham Color Rush Jersey , so the Packers will need to look to free agency, pick 30, or day two of the draft to find a solid player at that spot. Then there’s right guard. If Cole Madison had reported to training camp in 2018, maybe this wouldn’t be an issue, but he didn’t and it is and now Brian Gutekunst has to deal with it. Where do the Packers go here? It’s pretty clear Jason Spriggs won’t be an answer there, as he exclusively played tackle in 2018. Justin McCray and Lucas Patrick are fine backups, but I’m not comfortable with either one as a full-time starter. With few quality veteran options available on the free agent market this year, perhaps the best option would be to land a player like Wisconsin’s Michael Dieter around the third round of the draft — Dieter has experience at left tackle, guard, and center, and he brings the nasty as well as some sneaky athleticism.Ultimately, I think the Packers have lots of options to bolster the other positions of need at their roster. These two, however, have slimmer pickings, and that has me more worried about them by far than improving the talent level elsewhere.Matub: Will the Horse Collar ever return?I’m not talking about the dangerous form of tackling that is known to cause knee injuries. I’m talking about this big sumna that once adorned the concessions at Lambeau Field. This 22-inch monster kielbasa slathered in beer-cheese was officially retired prior to the 2016 season. That was the year the team got stomped in the NFCCG by the Falcons. The Packers have not been back to the postseason since. COINCIDENCE? I think not.Bring it back, Lambeau Field. It’s what we need to bring the Lombardi trophy home.
It’s a crazy set of workout results for the eight picks in this year’s class." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteAcme Packing Companya Green Bay Packers communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpFanpostsFanshotsSectionsPackersOddsAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMor...See more

INDIANAPOLIS 鈥?Andrew Luck made his thoughts perfectly clear after another loss last week.聽He expects the Indianapolis Colts to clean things up.Whether it’s missed throws Marlon Mack Jersey , dropped passes, penalties or turnovers, just about every glaring flaw that could strike has, and it’s left the Colts in a major early-season bind.“Basically, what he’s talking about is we’ve got to stop making self-inflicted mistakes, the penalties, things that we can control, ball-handling and things like that,” running back Robert Turbin said Monday.“If we can execute, obviously, it’s not going to be perfect, but we’d definitely like to execute more times than not and definitely not beat ourselves.”Until the Colts start making more plays 鈥?and fewer mistakes 鈥?the results aren’t likely to change.Indy (1-4) has lost three straight, falling two games behind AFC South co-leaders Jacksonville and Tennessee. And with just a few corrections, things could look very different.Cincinnati snuffed out one comeback chance when usually sure-handed tight end Jack Doyle fumbled in the final minute of the season opener. The Bengals returned the fumble 83 yards for a touchdown to seal a 34-23 victory. Two weeks later, at Philadelphia, Luck again had Indy in position for the go-ahead touchdown with less than two minutes left 鈥?only to be sacked on fourth-and-3 from the Eagles’ 4-yard line.In Week 4, at home against Houston, receiver Marcus Johnson failed to haul in a third-down pass on the opening possession of overtime, forcing the Colts to settle for a 44-yard field goal. Luck’s errant throw on fourth-and-4 from his 43-yard line allowed the Texans to drive for the winning field goal as time expired. On Thursday, Luck’s strong second half cut a 21-point deficit to seven until Zach Pascal‘s inability to make a catch at the聽New England 38-yard line led to an interception.聽The Patriots converted the turnover into a TD and a 38-24 lead.“That was one game, that was the last game,” receiver Chester Rogers said, referring to a long pass he dropped against the Pats.聽“We’ve got to fix that. It’s fixable, you know, something that’s just been happening. We’ve had some drops. We’ve got to fix it, plain and simple.”While the receivers’ miscues certainly have been in the spotlight, they are far from Indy’s only problem.Luck’s postgame comments began with a self-critique. Since returning from surgery on his right shoulder, Luck has thrown a league-leading 245 passes with eight touchdowns and five interceptions and blamed himself for misreading a blitz the only time he was sacked Thursday.Only eight teams have committed more penalties than Indy’s 38.“I saw Andrew’s statement about kind of getting out of our own way. Certainly, that is apropos,” coach Frank Reich said Friday.聽“We’ve just got to play cleaner football. We’ve just got to play good football. We talk about it all the time. We believe in our players, we believe we have the talent to win games.”It would help if the Colts could get some of their playmakers back on the field. The offense played Thursday without Doyle, Pro Bowl receiver T.Y. Hilton,聽both of its starting offensive tackles and starting running back Marlon Mack. The defense began the game without rookie Darius Leonard, the NFL’s leading tackler through four weeks, and cornerbacks Kenny Moore II Quenton Nelson Color Rush Jersey , Quincy Wilson and Nate Hairston. It finished without safety Clayton Geathers (concussion), linebacker Anthony Walker (concussion), defensive tackle Denico Autry (hamstring) and safety Mathias Farley (hamstring).Reich 鈥?and everyone else inside the team complex 鈥?hopes a few extra days off between the loss to New England and Sunday’s visit to the New York Jets will help get some key players back.“Two weeks ago, it was pretty stiff, but now it feels pretty loose when I go out there,” Mack said Monday. “Each and every day they add more stuff for me.”Leonard also believes he’ll play this weekend. But the Colts know the actual solution is less about who is on the field and more about just playing smart football.“I think when we look at ourselves, we’re going to have to learn how not to lose before we can give ourselves a chance to win,” Luck said Thursday night. “It’s frustrating, the stuff out there. We’re all frustrated, but I don’t think anybody’s losing the belief.”NOTES: The Colts signed defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad and safety Tray Matthews to the practice squad Monday. Muhammad was originally claimed by the Colts off waivers from New Orleans following the final cutdowns and played in two of Indy’s first four games. Matthews was an undrafted rookie who was cut by Minnesota on Sept. 1. … Indy also re-signed tight end Mo Alie-Cox to the practice squad late last week.100View Gallery Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj Mehta For 15 years, the Indianapolis Colts were coached by men who had a conservative approach to offensive decision-making. Tony Dungy, Jim Caldwell, and Chuck Pagano all preferred to “play it safe” in difficult offensive situations almost as a rule. For Colts fans, it was infuriating. With one of the more dominant offenses in the league, led by two of the most talented quarterbacks in the NFL for most of those years, the coaches would often take the game out of the offense’s hands and ask an outmatched and often bad defense to step up and give the offense another chance. By the way, this happened in nearly every game, against nearly every opponent, in almost every circumstance fans could dream up.In fact, conservative play-calling by Jim Caldwell at the end of the first half against the New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl XLIV turned the momentum of the game. This conservative play-calling not only came in the Super Bowl, before half time, with the one of the league’s best quarterbacks in the two minute offense at his disposal, it came at a time where the Saints had just run their own 7 minute offensive drive that stalled on a 4th-and-1 run call. An offensive score to close out the first half would pushed the Colts to a 10 or 14 point lead. It would have punished New Orleans for failing to convert on fourth down. It would be devastating to the Saints heading into the locker room down 10 or 14 points, only to kick the ball off to Indianapolis in the second half.It didn’t happen. Three straight runs, two by backup running back Mike Hart, forced the Colts to punt the ball away after using only 1:03 of the game clock. Drew Brees and the Saints offense had good field position, remained aggressive and closed out the first half with a field goal, cutting the lead to 4. This momentum emboldened the Saints to start the second half with an onside kick that will be burned into the memories of Colts forever. It didn’t take hindsight to know that three straight run calls in the Super Bowl, against the Saints and its high powered offense, with Peyton Manning and the Colts high powered offense in a two minute situation was a catastrophic coaching failure. It was a conservative decision. Run the ball, force the Saints to use timeouts, try to pickup the first down on the ground, and end halftime with a 7 point lead. It was deferring the option to go for the jugular or otherwise try to cripple the Saints heading into the half. The rest is history.Colts fans have witnessed bad aggressive decisions as well. The 4th-and-2 decision by the New England Patriots in Indianapolis, in their own territory in the fourth quarter, with the lead https://www.coltsfanshop.com/Andrew-Luck-Jersey , was stupid. He allowed his fear of Peyton Manning to cloud an otherwise brilliant coaching mind. He should have punted the ball away and forced Manning to march the distance of the field for a late-game score. He had a 6 point lead, only a touchdown would beat him and he gave the Colts phenomenal field position. It doesn’t take hindsight to know that it was an epic failure as a coaching decision. In real-time watching the game I felt like it was a gift the moment the Patriots snapped that ball. I was stunned Belichick would do something like that. It was like living in an alternate universe. It was awesome. This season, Frank Reich has made a series of bad aggressive calls. It was an absolutely wrong decision to go for it on 4th-and-4 in Colts territory in overtime. The chances to convert were against him and the likelihood for the Texans to win the game sky-rocketed if he failed — which he was considerably more likely to do. Unsurprisingly, the attempt failed and Houston exploited the Colts’ zone defense to use one play to get into field goal range to win the game.To this day, the Texans point to the Colts victory in Week 4 as the turning point of the season. They earned their first win of the season on the road, against a divisional opponent, and it took a comeback to get it done. It emboldened them as a team and helped to kick start a winning streak that has them one game away from clinching the division.Good coaches don’t make that decision. The consequences of wins and losses, particularly in the division, are drastic every season. Haphazardly throwing away that game wasn’t inspirational to a young team, it was a loss that inspired a divisional opponent. It very well could have been a loss that cost them a chance to make the playoffs or win the division. It has been discussed at length that in another divisional game, Reich had a profoundly negative impact on the outcome. On the road, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, in a must-win game the Colts were shut out. Not because they were actually never in a position to score, they were in position to score at least three times during the game but aggressive play calls early in the game forced them into a go-for-broke late that failed.Without any hindsight, when the Colts had the ball at the one yard line early in the second quarter I felt like the right decision, clearly, was to kick the field goal. One offensive drive resulted in an interception, the second was a punt, the third stalled at the 11-yard line and forced a field goal. Adam Vinatieri hit that field goal to take a three point lead but a penalty on the Jaguars gave Indianapolis a new set of downs. In three straight plays the Colts managed to get only four yards. They could take the 3 points they just earned by kicking an easy field goal or gamble on the goal line to score a touchdown. The smart decision, the right decision, against this opponent and in this situation was to take the points. The Jaguars offense had a backup starting quarterback, was without its biggest backfield weapon, and even at full strength is not very good. Points would be devastating to Jacksonville. The decision to go for it failed. For those who think it was clearly the right decision statistically or because of analytics, Troy Russell completed a bit of research for me leading up to this story. Jacksonville’s red zone defense is one of the best in the NFL, 9th overall. Their defense with 1 yard to gain on third and fourth downs is the best in the NFL.This was not a no-brainer call. I don’t know what sheet Reich had as a reference but if it had the details it should have told him that it was a very risky call against this defense. Knowing everything else he knew about the game, the team he was facing, the environment, and the importance of the outcome — he needs to make the right decision. He should have taken the early lead, put pressure on the Jaguars to respond, taken early momentum, and could have easily been in a position to tie or win with another field goal later in the game.Either way, Colts fans are learning something that is rather interesting. After years of loathing horribly conservative play-calling a fan base has been desperate for an aggressive leader. Now that they have one, the fan base has found itself wishing less for aggressive or conservative and more for intelligent decision-making.Frank Reich is a first year head coach. He is a former backup quarterback who led the biggest comeback in NFL history. Reich is built to be aggressive. As a coach, he’ll need to be something else. He will need to be smart if the Colts are going to be put in the best position to win football games and make it to the playoffs.

If you were elated to hear or read the news that Seattle Seahawks right guard was active for Sunday night’s big game against the AFC leading Kansas City Chiefs... hold your horses Kam Chancellor Color Rush Jersey , because there is the other side of the story.Seahawks general manager John Schneider confirmed on his pre-game radio show that while Fluker is active and will dress, the right guard starting position belongs to Ethan Pocic for the evening. This is similar to when Justin Britt was active for Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys, but was an emergency option, and Joey Hunt got the start instead. Pocic started the first two games of this season at left guard, and was reinserted into the lineup last week against the San Francisco 49ers after an injury to Jordan Simmons. He committed multiple holding penalties and gave up some pressures, which ideally we won’t see a repeat of in this game. He was both left and right guard for several games last season as a rookie. With that in mind Shaquem Griffin Color Rush Jersey , Ethan Pocic and George Fant will be your starters on the right side of the Seahawks offensive line. RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks is eager to get back to the normalcy provided by life on a football field. The 28-year old Kendricks is returning from an eight-game suspension due to violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policy stemming from guilty pleas to insider trading charges in September. Kendricks pleaded guilty to one count of securities fraud and one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud.“This is my escape,” Kendricks said Saturday. “Football is everything for me and to have lost that also was very hard. That also was probably the hardest thing, having to walk away from the game that I love, from a team that has accepted me. Just wanting to be here and not being able to hurt.”Football wasn’t the only thing he’s lost. He says he has lost friendships since his issues became public this summer.“Deep down, I’ll never truly know who is with me or not Bradley McDougald Color Rush Jersey , but I can tell there’s a shift in energy between those who know me,” he said. “Those who aren’t supposed to be in my life won’t be. And through hard situations like this, that sifts out.”Kendricks was released by the Cleveland Browns after the charges were filed in late August. The Seahawks signed Kendricks after a season-opening loss to the Denver Broncos as Shaquem Griffin and Austin Calitro struggled to replace an injured K.J. Wright at weak-side linebacker. He played in three games — making two starts — and recorded 15 total tackles and two sacks prior to his suspension.Kendricks was suspended indefinitely by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell on Oct. 2. The league eventually settled on an eight-game suspension after reviewing the matter and speaking with Kendricks. With Wright again out while addressing ongoing problems with his knee, Kendricks’ return could be a significant boost for the Seahawks’ stretch run. He has been allowed to practice with the team for the last two weeks, but was not eligible to play until Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings.“He looks really good on the practice field,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “Like when he played for us Brett Hundley Color Rush Jersey , we really felt his quickness. You could see the plays that he can make and the savvy that he has that adds to it. So, it’s going to be a while before he’s truly comfortable in the playing mode just because it’s happened so fast, but his awareness really allows him to jump right back in. We’re going to expect him to be active and be part of it and play a lot in the game.”His return to the field comes against his brother, Eric, who plays linebacker for the Vikings.“It is special in the sense that during a hard time like this you lean on those that love you,” Mychal Kendricks said. “You lean on those that have been there all your life and it’s emotional coming back. What better way to come back than to play a loved one.”He faces up to 25 years in prison when sentenced in January.“That part is inevitable and I probably won’t speak on that Richard Sherman Color Rush Jersey ,” he said, noting he is focusing on staying rooted in the present.“I’m going to be where my feet are. I’m not going to harp on the past. I’m not going to predict the future. I’m just going to be right where I’m at. So take it day-by-day.”Notes: Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin (hip) will be a game-time decision due to a hip injury. He was unable to practice during the week. . RB Rashaad Penny (ankle) and FB Tre Madden (chest) are also listed as questionable.
